CAIRO –4 October 2017: Egypt's basketball star Assem Marei starred in his team Medi Bayreuth’s 82-74 victory at home against Mitteldeutscher BC in the second week of the German basketball league, Easy Credit BBL.
Marei scored 18 points and 12 rebounds to win his first double-double this season.
Medi Bayreuth won the first round away to WALTER Tigers Tübingen 87-77.

Marei is the son of Egyptian basketball player Ahmed Marei, the Sporting Club head coach.
