CAIRO – 25 September 2017: Olympique Marseille fan Kamel Zeroual did not hold back his tears and fans at Stade Vélodrome chanted his name after scoring a goal against Toulouse!

Olympique Marseille invited Kamel Zaroual to take the ceremonial kickoff before the game, but everyone on the pitch respected his desire to score a goal at the club's training field.

The story did not start here..

Ten days earlier, Kamel decided to travel 2,000 kilometers from his home to Amiens in order to attend Marseille's match against Amiens SC in the sixth round of the French League.

Kamel's goal was to draw attention to his fundraiser for children with special needs.

Kamel's experience had positive reactions in France and reached Marseille, who called on the 36-year-old to take the kickoff in the match against Toulouse.

Before the start, the referee asked Kamel to kick the ball towards the middle of the field to any of the Marseille players, but the fan approached the referee and whispered something in his ear, before running with the ball towards the middle of the pitch and scoring a goal.

Kamel was allowed to take a shot at goal, as the Toulouse keeper failed to stop it from entering the net in the Vélodrome stadium.
