CAIRO - 22 September 2017- Hector Cuper, the head coach of the first football national team, rejected a proposal from the Egyptian Football Association to coach the football national team for domestics in the 2018 African Nations Championship.

The Football Association is now waiting for the decision of the African Football Confederation CAF, scheduled to be produced on Saturday, about the host country of the African Nations Championship, as CAF is studying to move the tournament from Kenya to Morocco. In case of moving the tournament to Morocco, Egypt will be qualified automatically, as Egypt and Morocco played a match of two legs in the qualifiers for the tournament to determine which one of the teams will book its seat. So if Morocco hosts the tournament, it will be qualified as a host country and Egypt will take its seat from the qualifiers.

Some of the board members of EFA suggested assigning the task of coaching the domestic national team to Cuper to lead the same group of players who faced Morocco, after the apology of Hamada Sedqi, the coach of the U-18 national football team, but Cooper rejected this.
