CAIRO – 21 September 2017: Taekwondo player Ghofran Zaki was injured in a partial cruciate ligament injury four days before the start of the Grand Prix in Morocco, which runs until September 25.

The injury caused the absence of the Egyptian player to travel on Wednesday evening with the team to Morocco and his absence from officially participating in the Grand Prix.

The team includes seven players: Saif Issa, Moaz Nabil, Youssef Al Sayed, Rawan Al Refai, Nour Hussain, Maison Ehab, Radwa Reda.

The Egyptian Taekwondo team has won six medals at the Junior World Championships held last month in Sharm El-Sheikh.

The tournament — composed of 221 players from 55 countries — will be held for the first time in Africa and under the patronage of King Mohammed VI of Morocco.
