African Women’s Handball Championship winners arrive in Cairo

CAIRO – 19 September 2017: The women’s junior handball national team delegation arrived on Tuesday at Cairo International airport after winning the African Handball Championship held in Ivory Coast from September 10 to 17 September.

The president of the Egyptian Handball Association, Khaled Hamouda, was awaiting the delegation at the airport alongside hundreds of friends and relatives of the junior national team and a number of reporters, to honor the team after the glorious victory.

The women’s junior national handball team won the African Handball Championship in Ivory Coast and qualified for the World Cup after winning all its matches against Senegal, Ivory Coast, Algeria, Tunisia, Angola, the Democratic Republic of Congo.

The Egyptian team was led by coach Ahmed Abdel Halim and the players were: Farah Osama, Nada Magdy, Salma Abdel Razek, Rana Rady, Suhaila Khaled, Toqa Alaa El Din, Samira Rifaat, Habibatallah Hassan, Shahad El Shawarby, Leila Haitham, Yara Abu Dahab, Dalia Adel, Nada Mamdouh, Aya Tarek, Farida Hani and Yasmin Emad.
