CAIRO – 18 September 2017: Germany's goalkeeper Manuel Neuer has been out of action for months after breaking his left foot, Germany's Sport Bild newspaper reported on Monday. While the original injury had been sustained in April, Bayern Munich announced Neuer had suffered another injury to the same foot and could be facing months before being allowed to play again.

The German newspaper said in its report that Bayern’s keeper will undergo surgery in the next few days.

Sport Bild confirmed that the Bavarian club had failed to confirm the timetable for the absence of the player, but he will not participate for at least three months, which means he will be away until early next year.

Manuel Neuer had missed Bayern's opening matches this season.

Some believe that Manuel Neuer deserves to be number one in the world, Neuer is always successful in communicating with his team's defenders, and is better in a one-to-one position on the goal. Moreover, he can build the attack with a long pass.
