CAIRO – 18September 2017: Zamalek SC succeeded to secure their first three points in the Egyptian League by the victory over El Dakhleya 3-0.

Nebosja started the game with a mixed line-up between the experienced and the new players. The line-up was (GK) Ahmed El-Shennawy; (DEF) Moayed El-Agan, Ahmed Magdi, Mahmoud Alaa, Hazem Emam; (MID) Tarek Hamed, Mohamed Rouka, Ahmed Daouda; Ahmed Madbouli, Abdullah Gomaa; (FWD) Kasongo.

Zamalek`s first half was not on the level of expectations. El Dakhleya pressed Zamalek`s back line and tried to score the first to surprise the guests.Kasongo, Zamalek`s striker, was the most dangerous player from the White Knights in the first half. It ended with a draw 0-0.

The second half started with a promising performance from Zamalek as they made more than real chance.

Successfully, Abdullah Gomaa, Zamalek`s new player, got a penalty as he was pushed inside the box from El Dakhleya`s defender. Mohamed Rouka took the lead by scoring Zamalek`s first goal in the 59th minute from the penalty spot.

El Shenawy, Zamalek`s goalkeeper, saved his team from a huge chance which made his team mates feel the danger.

In the 65th minute, Abdullah Gomaa doubled the score after a brilliant assist from Ahmed Madbouly.

Rouka was in form as he scored the second goal for him and the third for his team after some beautiful passes from his teammates.

A good performance was given from new Zamalek players, especially in the midfield as Abdullah Gomaa was one of the most notable players of the game because he made what Zamalek’s midfielders failed to do the last season, which is to be the link between the defense and the offense. This might give the new coach, Nebosja, a push forward to continue working in renewing blood in Zamalek and rebuilding the white castle again to compete in all competitions in Egypt and Africa.
