CAIRO – 17 September 2017: The derby between Chelsea and Arsenal FC held on Sunday in the 5th fixture of the English Premier League at Stamford Bridge, Chelsea stadium, ended in a 0-0 draw.

The first half started with dominance from the host, Chelsea, while Arsenal looked to stop Chelsea’s attacks. Eventually, the Gunners’ Arsenal had several chances that were brilliantly saved by Chelsea’s defense and their goalkeeper.

The last minutes of the first half saw several opportunities from both teams to score the opening goal but the score remained 0-0.

The second half saw both teams looking to clinch the three points through scoring a precious goal. However, both teams continued to miss many chances and the last ten minutes of the match saw a dramatic ending after Mohamed El Neny, Arsenal’s Egyptian midfielder, entered the pitch.

Chelsea’s defender David Luiz received a red card after tackling Arsenal’s left wing back. Arsenal then took the opportunity and attacked Chelsea, but last year’s Premier League winners remained solid in defense and ended the match in a goalless draw.

With this result, Chelsea comes in third with 10 points while Arsenal is in the 12th position with seven points.
