CAIRO - 7 September 2017: Egypt faces Cape Verde on Thursday night at Women’s Junior CAN in Ivory Coast, Egypt seeks to continue their amazing run in the competition.

Egypt started their participation beating the host nation, Ivory Coast 35-33 after a tough game in front of Ivorian fans; the Egyptian team also defeated Algeria on Wednesday 28-20.

Egypt's opponent, Cape Verde lost their first two games against R.D. Congo and Angola 21-23 and 20-37 respectively, but they defeated Mali on Wednesday with a score28-21.

Egypt participates in the competition alongside six African Countries; Algeria, Congo, Angola, Mali, Cape Verde and the host nation, Ivory Coast.

Egypt's coach, Ramy Abdel Latif chose this squad for the competition: Shimaa Waziri, Yasmin Wahid, Malak Shahin, Yasmin Abdel Rahim, Leila Wael. Leila Sherif, Lina al-Amrawy, Reem Rabia, Mariam al-Shorbagy, Nourin Aly, Donia Khaled, Tasnim Gamal, Yara Abdel Maksod, Nervana Mohamed, Mennatallah Wael and Fatima Khaled.

Ivory Coast hosts the competition from September 4 -10.
