The Egyptian dream for qualifying to the World Cup returns another time after achieving a precious victory over Uganda in the fourth round of the African qualifiers to the 2018 Russian World Cup at Borg Al Arab Stadium on Tuesday evening.

Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah opened the score with an early goal for the Pharaohs in the 6th minute of the game from a magnificent lob pass from Al Ahly midfielder Abdallah Al Saied, which put Salah in front of Uganda’s goalkeeper Denis Onyango, who managed to save Salah’s first shot but failed to save the Egyptian winger’s rebound, which settled on the Ugandan nets. The result stayed the same until the end of the game.

With that result, Egypt returns to lead the group with 9 points, then Uganda comes second with 7 points, Ghana with 5 points in third place and Congo occupies the fourth and last place of the group.
