CAIRO - 4 September 2017: Nour El Sherbini was so happy after winning the 2017 J.P. Morgan China Squash Open title.

“It is a good step in the start of the season, I hope this title helps me to keep improving and stay number one,“ El Sherbini told reporters after the final.

El Sherbini added “I want to thank my family, my fans, my sponsors, my coaches and every one supported me, I hope to continue winning and achieve big things for Egypt.”

El Sherbini won the 2017 J.P. Morgan China Squash Open $100,000 final prize after beating her Egyptian opponent, Nouran Gouhar on Sunday at the final.

El Sherbini also defeated Joshna Chinappa, Alison Waters and Joelle King in her way to the final.

Egypt also dominated the men’s competitions after Ramy Ashour defeated his Egyptian opponent Ali Farag 3-2 at the final.

The China Squash Open was held in Shanghai, China, from August 31 to September 3.
