CAIRO – 27 August 2017: U19 volleyball national team occupied the sixth place in Bahrain U19 Volleyball World Championship after losing to France on Sunday.

The 19-year-old youth volleyball team, led by Coach Nihad Shehata, lost to France 3-0 in the classification match which determines the fifth and sixth places, to take the sixth place in the World Championship hosted by Bahrain.

The Pharaohs beat Brazil 3-0 on Saturday in their first match in classifications between the fifth and eighth after losing to South Korea 3-1 in the quarterfinals. Egyptian volleyball boys had qualified for the quarter-finals after beating Cuba 3-2 in round 16.

Young Pharaohs were given a break by the coach last Wednesday, after defeating the United States on Tuesday 3-1 in the last round of the group stage.
