CAIRO – 27 August 2017: N’Golo Kante, Chelsea’s midfielder, responded to French veteran midfielder Claude Makelele’s criticism on August 26.

Speaking to the Premier League website, Kante replied to the advice Makelele gave him to play slow and conserve the energy in order to keep the same momentum.

Kante said,"I think it’s good to listen to the advice of this type of player like Makelele, I need to listen and try to give my best," citing from Give Me Sport website.

Kante added, "But I cannot say I want to do what everyone wants me to do, but it’s good to listen to the advice of players like him and to the staff and manager at Chelsea.”

Kante concluded, "I want to improve and I’m doing my best to improve so I listen and try to do it. If I do it, okay, but [I try] not to put too much pressure on it.”

Chelsea’s midfielder Kante is known for his high work rate and the ability to run throughout the whole match without losing his energy. Kante won two consecutive English Premier League medals, with the first one being with Leicester City and the second being with Chelsea FC.
