CAIRO –25 August 2017: Youssef Mansour, Egyptian Taekwondo player, won the gold medal in the third World Taekwondo Cadet Championship, being held in Egypt.

Mansour won the gold medal in the 37kg category in the second day of the third edition of the World Taekwondo Cadet Championship, held from August 24 to 27 in Sharm El Sheikh in the Youth City Hall.

Mansour qualified to the final after winning the match in the quarter-finals 31- 11 against Azerbaijan’s player .

Mansur won the final in a result 30 - 29 to get the first gold in Egypt’s history in the championship.

The tournament has 424 players competing from 57 countries, with 229 men and 195 women competing in the championship.

Egypt's Taekwondo players Shahd El Hosseiny and Habiba Ahmed managed to win the first two bronze medals for Egypt in the tournament on August 24.
