CAIRO – 24 August 2017: Kerala Blasters, Indian Super League football club, announced on August 23 the signing of Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspurs former player Dimitar Berbatov.

Kerala Blasters posted via their official Twitter account saying: "Golden touch, turns like a dream & a deadly finish. The Bulgarian Hitman is set to take ISL by storm."

The Bulgarian International striker Berbatov signed a one-year contract with the Indian club.

The 36-year-old striker moved to the English Premier League on 2006 to play for Tottenham Hotspurs. After playing for Tottenham for two years and winning the League Cup, Bulgaria’s all time goal scorer joined Manchester United and played there for four years winning several trophies.

Berbatov then joined Fulham, AS Monaco and PAOK Salonika before completing the move to Kerala Blasters.

It is good to mention that former Premier League players like Florent Malouda and Nicolas Anelka are considered to be some of the first players who played in the Indian Super League.
