CAIRO – 22 August 2017: Egyptian Greco-Roman wrestler, Abdel-latif Mohamed finished 10th at the Wrestling World Championships on August 22. Mohamed lost in the 16th round to Georgian wrestler Levan Arabuli.

After defeating the Russian Wrestler Vitalii Shchur with a score of 2-1 in the round of 32 in the 130-kilograms weight category, Abdel-latif Mohamed qualified for the round of 16 against the Georgian wrestler Levan Arabuli.

The Egyptian wrestler found it difficult to defeat the Georgian champion and lost with a score of 11-3. As a result, he was unable to qualify for the quarterfinals and was knocked out of the tournament.

Egypt is represented in the World Championships by the following players: Diaa Gouda, Ahmed Othman, Abdel-latif Mohamed Ahmed, Abo Halima Mohamed, Ibrahim El Wensh, Ahmed Ibrahim, Samr Amer.

The Wrestling World Championships is held in France from August 21 to August 26.
