CAIRO – 20 August 2017: Ahmed Kabouria, Al-Masry SC former player, spoke on August 20 after joining Zamalek SC in an LE 8 million transfer.

Speaking to Filgoal, Kabouria revealed why he preferred to join Zamalek SC and not Al-Ahly SC. Zamalek’s new striker also talked about what Al-Masry SC manager, Hossam Hassan, told him after joining Zamalek, he also revealed his Zamalek idol.

Kabouria said, “Al-Ahly SC is a great club; however, I chose to join Zamalek SC because Zamalek’s officials talked to me directly, while Al-Ahly officials did not contact me. They might have talked to the club but did not talk to me.”

Kabouria added, “Coach Hossam Hassan congratulated me after joining Zamalek SC. He told me you will go on a new journey along which you will have to be very dedicated and eager to learn from joining a great club like Zamalek SC. “

Kabouria stated, “Zamalek’s veteran player Hazem Emam is my idol and the player I follow throughout his career. He concluded, “Zamalek fans are great and they admire the club. I promise them that I will be a great addition to the club along with the newly joining players.”

Kabouria joined Zamalek SC after excelling with Al-Masry SC in the past two years leading Al-Masry SC to the finals of the Egyptian Cup last season before losing to Al-Ahly SC 2-1.
