CAIRO – 20 August 2017: Manchester United's striker, Romelu Lukaku, became the fourth player in United's history to score twice on his debut with United in the English Premier League on August 13.

Ruud van Nistelrooy, James Wilson, and Marcus Rashford were the only three players who managed to score two goals with Manchester United in their Premier League debut with the club before Lukaku.

In the 2001/2002 season, van Nistelrooy became the first player in United's history to score a double on his Premier League debut with United. Netherlands veteran striker managed to score two goals against Fulham gaining a precious 3-2 victory for United in the first match of the season.



On May 2014, United's youngster James Wilson became the second player to score twice in his first Premier League appearance with United. Wilson netted the goal two times against Hull City contributing in United's 3-1 win over the Tigers (Hull City).



On February 28, 2016, England's International striker Marcus Rashford scored two goals against Arsenal sealing a precious 3-2 victory over Arsenal.



Lastly, on August 13, 2017 Manchester United's newcomer Romelu Lukaku was able to steal the show on his first game with United in the EPL by scoring two goals in United's 4-0 victory against West Ham.



On a similar note, Romelu Lukaku also scored on his debut with RSC Anderlecht, West Bromwich Albion and Everton FC.
