CAIRO – 19 August 2017: Egypt hosts the 42nd World’s scout conference in 2019, after it racked up majority of votes, president of the General Federation of Scout and Girl Guides Khaled Issawi announced on Friday in a call-in during “DMC evening” aired on DMC TV channel.

Issawi deplored that scout is not given the same attention as the other games , emphasizing its importance in building up youth physically and morally.

Egypt was also chosen to host the 14th World Scout Youth Forum scheduled to be held in 2020, during the last meeting of the 41st World Scout Conference which took place on Friday in Baku.

The decision was made at the last session of the 41st World Scout Conference in Baku on August 18.

Another candidate for hosting the 42nd World Scout Conference and the 14th World Scout Youth Forum was Malaysia, Azertac reported.

Baku hosted delegations of 167 National Scout Organizations visiting the country for the World Scouting’s ‘general assembly’, the World Scout Conference, on August 14-18.

World Organization of the Scout Movement, which was originally founded in 1922, supervises more that 244 respective organizations worldwide with an estimated 40 million participants.
