CAIRO – 18 August 2017: Athletic Bilbao won 3-2 over Panathinaikos on Thursday night at UEFA Europa League First Play Off round, Bilbao scored three goals in 8 minutes to return to Spain with a victory.

Panathinaikos scored first after 28 minutes by Robin Lod after a great play between Panathinaikos’s players, both teams failed to score again in the first half that ended 1-0 for the Greek side.

Bryan Alfredo scored the second for Panathinaikos after 10 minutes from the second half start, Panathinaikos fans were so happy with the result and the performance from the team against the Spanish side.

Athletic Bilbao had a surprise to the Greek fans; they succeeded to score three goals in just three minutes to return to Spain with a comfortable victory before the second leg.

Aritz Aduriz scored the first goal through a great header at the 67th minute before Oscar de Marcos scored the equalizer just two minutes later; Aduriz scored his second and the third for Bilbao through a penalty at the 75th minute.

Panathinaikos hopes to win the second leg against Bilbao at Spain when the two teams meet again on Thursday August 24.
