CAIRO – 16 August 2017: Argentinean legendary footballer, Diego Maradona spoke on August 14 in an exclusive interview to the FIFA YouTube channel.

Speaking to the FIFA’s channel, Maradona revealed the best game he played, best player, the best football chant and the best thing about being Maradona.

Maradona said, “The best game of my life was watching my children be born. There’s no game more beautiful than watching your child born.”

Maradona added, “The best team I have played for is the national youth team of 1979. The one that won the U-20 World Cup in Japan; and the best stadium I played at was Wembley. The best player I played with was Careca.”

Maradona continued, “The best thing about being Maradona is that I never believed in my own hype and always tried to keep going. Above all, I wanted to be with my teammates and help them out.”

“The best chant is the one Boca Juniors fans sang to River after they’d been in the second division. That’s the most beautiful one that you hear and it makes your heart beat so fast because, obviously, we (Boca fans) will never have to experience that. It starts: ‘River, tell me how it feels to have played in the second division,” Maradona concluded.

The 56 year old veteran footballer managed to win the World Cup in 1986 while being the captain of Argentina. Argentina won the trophy after beating West Germany 3-2 in the final.
