Algerian team arrives in Cairo for the Volleyball Championship

CAIRO – 15 August 2017: The participants for the U23 Volleyball World Championship are arriving in Cairo in preparation for the upcoming tournament.

The national under 23 volleyball teams from Japan and Algeria arrived Tuesday morning to participate in the World Championship. The competition will be held in the covered hall complex of the Cairo International Stadium on 18-25 August.

The head of the reception committee, Major General Khalid Abu Zeina, was waiting to welcome and complete paperwork for the delegation of the Arab team from Algeria and the Japanese team at the airport. Japan will play in group A with Egypt, Brazil, Poland, Cuba and Mexico.

The Turkish and Iranian teams arrived in Cairo during the past few hours as well. The remaining .
teams are expected to arrive within the next few hours. The tournament will start on 18 August.
