Spanish Giants face each other in the Spanish Super Cup

CAIRO – 13 August 2017: Real Madrid will go head to head against FC Barcelona in the Spanish Super Cup on 13 August at Barcelona’s Camp Nou Stadium at 10 pm.

The current Spanish League champions Real Madrid will enter the match looking to add the Spanish Super Cup to their trophy cabinet. Real Madrid won the Champions League and the Spanish League last season.

Real Madrid’s manager Zinedine Zidane, is expected to start the match with the following formation:

Goalkeeper: Keylor Navas

Defenders: Dani Caravjal, Sergio Ramos, Raphael Varane, Marcelo

Midfielders: Toni Kroos, Carlos Casemiro, Fransico Suarez (Isco)

Strikers: Gareth Bale, Karim Benzema, Cristiano Ronaldo

Real Madrid’s talented midfielder Luka Modric will not play due to receiving suspension.

On the other hand, Barcelona’s manager Ernesto Valverde will be hoping to win his first official cup with FC Barcelona. Barcelona will play for the first time in an official match without their Brazilian winger Neymar da Silva. Neymar joined Paris Saint-Germain earlier this month .

FC Barcelona’s manager Ernesto Valverde is expected to start the game with a 4-3-3 formation consisting of the following players:

Goalkeeper: Marc-Andre ter Stegen

Defenders: Alex Vidal, Gerard Pique, Samuel Umtiti, Jordi Alba

Midfielders: Sergio Busquets, Andres Iniesta, Ivan Rakitic

Strikers: Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez, Gerard Deulofeu

The winner of the Spanish Super Cup is based on two matches who are played home and away. FC Barcelona will be the home team on the 13 August match against Real Madrid at the Camp Nou. However, Real Madrid will be the home team on the 16 August match. The game will be played at Madrid’s stadium in the Santiago Bernabeu.
