CAIRO –11 August 2017: Zamalek’s new signing, Mahmoud Alaa, hopes his movement to Zamalek will be a great step in his career. Alaa reject Al Ahly’s offer, preferring to join Zamalek.

“Al Ahly is a big team but Zamalek had more interest in me, so I decided to join one of the biggest clubs in Africa,” Alaa stated to Egypt Today after signing his contract.

Asked about his ambitions after joining Zamalek, he said, “I hope to help the squad to fight for the titles. I know that winning titles is the only thing that satisfies them.”

Alaa, 26 years old, added, “I have a dream to represent the Egyptian national team.”

Alaa praised his coach at Wadi Degla, Ahmed Hossam, known as Mido. He said, “Mido has a European vision; I think he will be the national team manager soon.”

Alaa signed a three-year contract with Zamalek on Friday.
