CAIRO –11 August 2017 - U20 Egyptian water polo team lost to Japan (11/19) on Friday 11 August in World Junior Water Polo Championships which is held in Serbia, and runs until August 13.

The team lost their first match against Canada (7/11) on Saturday 5 August, then beat South Africa (7/5) in the second round on Sunday 6 August and lost in the third game to Italy (2/18) on Monday 7 August.

The Egyptian boys also lost to Hungary (22/5) on Tuesday 8 August and beat Puerto Rico (10/6) on Thursday 10 August.

Egyptian water polo team is set to compete against Iran for the 15th and 16th place.

Water polo is the most violent water sport ever. This sport is unique to other ball games, playing in swimming pools and with a floating rubber ball, in a competition between two teams, each team consisting of seven players.
