7 August 2017: Diego Simeone spoke on Sunday about Atletico Madrid’s transfer market, as well as about his secret to convince the players to stay in the club.

“I can only try to convince them that they are part of the best team in the world, although others have more money,” Simeone said to reporters.

Simeone, 47 years old, spoke about Atletico Madrid’s activity in the transfer market, saying, “There is always concern until the market closes that we remain with the players that we have and that we are very competitive."

Simeone also spoke about Chelsea player Diego Costa’s movement to Atletico, saying, “The club is the one that is working on these situations. I do not have time to think about anything other than how to improve our players; there is no comment because he is not our player."

Simeone started coaching Atletico Madrid in 2011, he won the Spanish League with the club in 2014 and the 2012 UEFA Europa League title.
