CAIRO – 7August 2017: Al-Ahly officials allowed on August 6 Al-Ahly’s youngster Ahmed Hamdy to go to the trials of the Italian club Udinese.

Speaking to Al-Ahly’s website on August 6, Hossam el-Badry spoke about the qualities of Al-Ahly’s attacking midfielder Ahmed Hamdy and the duration of the trials.

Badry told Al-Ahly website, “Ahmed Hamdy will travel to Italy today in order to start the trials with the team. If he doesn’t pass the trials, Hamdy will return to Al-Ahly.”

Badry added to the website, “Ahmed Hamdy is one of the great youngsters who I rejected a lot of offers from Egyptian teams in order to use him for next season. However, after Udinese sent an offer we had to let Hamdy go.”

It is good to mention that if Hamdy passes the trial, he will be the second Egyptian player to play at Udinese after Zamalek’s legendary player Hazem Emam. Emam played at Udinese in the season of 1996-1997.
