CAIRO – 6 August 2017: Arsenal defeated Chelsea 4-1 in a penalty shootout at Wembley stadium on Sunday to win the Community Shield for the 15th time in Arsenal’s history.

The English club Arsenal perhaps had the better of the forgettable first half. Chelsea started the second half at a lightning quick pace and took the lead after 46 minutes, when Chelsea’s winger the Nigerian Victor Moses ran onto Chelsea’s centre back Gary Cahill header and slammed a close range finish beyond Arsenal’s goalkeeper Petr Cech.

Chelsea seemed they will be able to win, but the Spanish Chelsea’s winger Pedro Rodriguez was shown a red card with less than ten minutes remaining, when he jumped into a tackle with the International Egyptian arsenal midfielder Mohamed el-Neny.
The original time of the game ended with a positive draw, with the Blues scoring the first goal through Victor Moses in the 46th minute and the equalizer for Arsenal by Sead Kolasinac.

The penalty kicks was set up with the new system (ABBA) for the first team, the system is based on the format used in tennis tie- breaks, with the first team taking one kick and the second team tacking two kicks.

Egyptian international Neny played the whole match and he contributed to the Spanish Pedro Rodriguez Chelsea’s star in the 80th minute of the game, the Blues completed the last minute with ten players.
