CAIRO – 5 August 2017: The Egyptian women’s basketball team will play on August 5 their first match in the Arab Basketball Women’s Championship that is held in Egypt from August 5 to August 10.

The Egyptian women’s team is set to start off their tournament against Iraq on August 5 as they hope to gain their first victory.

The Egyptian national team will face Tunisia in their second match of the tournament on August 6,while on August 7, Egypt will play their last match in the group stages against Jordan. On August 8, all teams will receive a day to rest before continuing the competition in the following days.

It is good to mention that the Arab Basketball Federation was considering postponing the tournament, especially after receiving the approval of only four nations (Egypt, Tunisia, Jordan, and Iraq) to participate in the tournament.
