4 August 2017 : The Champions League play-off draw took place on Friday at the UEFA headquarters in Switzerland. The draw came out with many tough games.

Liverpool will travel to Germany to face TSG Hoffenheim in the first leg, before playing the second leg in Liverpool.

Sevilla FC will face Turkish team Istanbul Basaksehir, which will appear for the first time in such a stage.

Napoli, from Italy, will play against French team OGC Nice. Nice won over Ajax Amsterdam in the previous round.

Russian PFC Cska Moskva will face Swiss BSC Young Boys, while Sporting Lisbon will play against Steaua Bucuresti from Romania.

Celtic hopes to qualify to the Champions League group stage when they face FC Astana from Kazakhstan, while Slovenian club Maribor will play against Hapoel Be’er Sheva.

Cyprus team Apoel will play against Slavia Prage from Czech Republic, Olympiacos from Greece will play against HNK Rijeka from Croatia, and Copenhagen will meet Qarabaj from Azerbaijan.

The first leg will be played August 15-16 and the second leg will be played August 22-23.
