CAIRO – 4 August 2017: Zamalek will face Al-Masry at the Egyptian Cup semifinal on August 8 at the Borg Al Arab stadium in Alexandria.

Zamalek SC has delivered an official letter from the Egyptian Football Association stating that the semifinal game of the Egyptian Cup between Zamalek and Al-Masry will be held at the Borg Al Arab stadium.

Al-Masry played all of their matches at Borg Al Arab stadium last season. Conversely, Borg Al Arab stadium refused to host Zamalek matches of any competition after Zamalek fans destroyed stadium seats after Zamalek’s loss to Ahli Tripoli in the African Champions League match. Due to the lack of respect and resultant damage to the stadium, all the team’s matches in the Arab Championship were moved to Alexandria stadium.

Zamalek plays in the last tournament of the season, the Egyptian Cup, and wants to achieve a fifth consecutive title.
