Bolt is confident of winning in London – Reuters

3 August 2017:Jamiacan sprinter Usain Bolt is ready to compete in the World Championships in Athletics in London, his last competition before retirement.

“I'm just really focussed. I've been training hard and I'm ready to go," Bolt told reporters before the championship opening.

Bolt spoke about his feelings before his last race, saying, “For me, I'm always confident. I go there to win at all times. I'm always ready to go; I'm looking forward to the competition, so for me, that's it. I'm just going out there to win this Saturday."

Bolt won three consecutive 100m gold medals in the 2008, 2012 and 2016 Olympic Games.

Bolt, 30 years old, talked about his future after retirement, saying, “I'd like to travel around and inspire the kids; try to explain to them what I've been through throughout my career. If I can do that, that'd be great. Travel to all corners of the world and try to get people into the sport."

London hosts the World Championship in Athletes from August 4-13, 2017.
