CAIRO – 31 July 2017: The Uganda Football Association appointed two new managers on Monday. The appointment came ahead of Uganda’s match with the Egyptian national team in the 2018 World Cup Qualifiers.

Uganda’s FA decided to appoint Moses Basena and Fred Kajoba after Uganda’s former manager Milutin “Micho” Sredojevic decided not to renew his contract with the association.

Egypt’s group in the 2018 World cup qualifiers is as follows: Egypt is in first with 6 points; Uganda is in second place, Ghana in third place with 1 point followed by Congo in last place with 0 points.

It is worth mentioning that all teams in the group played the first two rounds with 4 matches remaining in the World Cup Qualifiers. The team in the first position will qualify to the World Cup. Egypt is set to play Uganda twice for the 2018 World Cup Qualifiers on August 31 and September 5.
