CAIRO – 31 July 2017: Minister of Youth and Sports Khaled Abdel Aziz held a meeting on Sunday with the members of the high committee of the Under-23 (U23) Volleyball World Cup, which will be held in Egypt from August 16-26.

The minister reviewed the latest preparations and equipment for the Covered Hall Complex of the Cairo International Stadium, which hosts the matches of the tournament, as well as the latest updates regarding ticketing and the spectators’ entrance.

Fouad Abdel Salam, President of the Egyptian Volleyball Federation, reviewed the preparations of Covered Halls Complex facilities at the Cairo International Stadium and the readiness of the National Volleyball Team for the tournament. The Egyptian team is scheduled to play friendly matches with Turkey, Algeria and Iran before the tournament begins.

Abdel Salam confirmed that five teams have already arrived in Egypt to participate in the tournament and work on training camps for teams in preparation of the U23 Volleyball World Cup have begun.
