CAIRO – 28 July 2017: USA won over Jamaica on Thursday 2-1 to become CONCACAF Gold Cup champion, USA won the competition for the Sixth time.

USA created many chances to score the first goal and have he upper hand in the final, Jozy Altidore succeeded to give USA the lead through a header before the first half whistle.

Jamaice waited only five minutes after the second half to score the equalizer by Je-Vaughn Watson.

Jamaica goalkeeper, Andre Blake, stopped all American attempts to score the second goal but he failed to stop Jordan Morris strike that gave Americans victory.

"We knew it wasn’t going to come easy, Jamaica have had a very good tournament" Michael Bradley, the best player in the tournament spoke to the guardian after the game.

USA won the competition for the sixth time only one title behind the most winning nation, Mexico who won the title for seven times.

USA hosted 12 teams competing in CONCACAF Gold Cup from July 7 to 26.
