CAIRO – 26 July 2017: Egypt's national deaf-mute football team managed on Wednesday to reach the semifinals of the 23rd Deaflympics, which is hosted by Turkey from July 18 to 30.

Egypt transformed its loss with a goal from Germany in the first half of the game to 2-1 deserved victory in a difficult match, to qualify to the semifinals to meet the winner of the match between Russia and Ukraine.

For his part, the Board of Directors of the Egyptian Paralympics Committee congratulated the team for winning, and wished them success in the coming games in the 23rd Deaflympics in Turkish city of Samsun with the participation of 5,000 players.

The Egyptian delegation for the Turkish Deaflympics is led by Tariq Al-Najjar, the delegation includes Tawfiq Saqr the head coach, Shaukat Al-Najjar as general coach and Kamel Al-Bahnasawi as trainer, goalkeeping coach Hisham Sulaiman, administrative director Ahmed Siddiq and Yasir Hassan member of the Deaf Technical Committee.
