CAIRO – 30 March 2025: President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi has congratulated the Egyptian men's sabre team for winning the gold medal at the 2025 Budapest Men's Sabre World Cup, describing the victory as “a testament to the skill of Egyptian youth.”
"I extend my heartfelt congratulations to the Egyptian men's fencing team for their historic achievement in winning the gold medal in the team competition at the World Cup held in Hungary," he stated.
He emphasized that "this victory is not only a source of pride for all of us but also a testament to the skill and determination of Egyptian youth."
"Long live Egypt, always strengthened by the resolve of its young people."
Egypt’s men’s sabre team secured their first-ever gold medal in the 2025 Budapest Men's Sabre World Cup on Sunday after defeating host Hungary in the final.
Ziad El-Sisi, Adham Moataz, Mohamed Amer, and Mazen El-Araby made history with a 45-37 victory against Hungary, following a narrow 45-43 triumph over France in the semifinals.
