CAIRO –25 July 2017: Burkinabé defender Mohamed Koffi will join the White Castle Zamalek SC trainings on Tuesday after the end of his loan-transfer from Saudi team Al Ettifaq.

President of Zamalek SC, Mortada Mansour, informed the general coach of the team, Tareq Yehya, that Koffi will join the team’s training despite Zamalek not including Koffi’s name in the foreign players’ list for the Arab Championship.

The list states that only four foreign players are allowed on the squad's list. Maarouf Youssef, Razak Cisse, Kasongo Kabongo and Benjamin Acheampong are all featured on the list.

Koffi is expected to arrive from Burkina Faso on Tuesday to attend a practice session with Mortada Mansour. He plans to discuss his role in the club for the upcoming season.

The 30-year-old joined Zamalek in the 2014 summer transfer period and has since participated in 68 games.

He has scored five goals, four in the Egyptian Premier League and one in the CAF Champions League.

Koffi was one of the most solid defensive stars in Zamalek. He helped the team win two Egyptian Cup titles (2014/2015-2015/2016) and an Egyptian Premier League title in 2014/2015.
