CAIRO – 24 July 2017: Ahmed Ayoub, Al-Ahly coach, spoke in the pre-match press conference for Al-Ahly Match against Al-Wihda from UAE on July 24.

Ayoub told the reporters in the press conference that there will be a meeting with Al-Ahly striker Emad Moteab in order to discuss all the recent issues regarding the player.

Al-Ahly’s striker was very upset following Al-Ahly’s last match against Al-Faisaly SC due to not participating in the match along with the way the club’s coaching staff is treating the player.

Ayoub told the journalists in the press conference, “There will be a meeting with Moteab following the arrival of Al-Ahly manager Hossam el-Badry from Canada on July 27 or July 28.

Ayoub continued, “During this meeting we will discuss all the concerns that Moteab has in the past period. “

Ayoub then talked about Moteab’s recent comments to Sada El Balad saying, “Moteab is a great player and there aren’t any personal problems with him. However, we are not supposed to go to the media and talk about the team.”

Ayoub ended his talk by addressing Moteab’s actions in the past match, “Moteab didn’t refuse to play; however, the player took a personal stance of ending his warm up after the first substitution and going back to sit on the bench.”

Al-sAhly sanctioned Moteab with a fine of 200,000 LE following his actions in the match and due to him talking about the team’s issues to the media.
