CAIRO – 24 July 2017: Julian Nagelsmann, coach of the German Hoffenheim, who just turned 30 on Sunday, received a big birthday present from the German Football Association, winning the best coach in the season.

According to Bundesliga’s (German Football league) official website, Nagelsmann was voted as the manager of the year.

Speaking to the Bundesliga’s website, Nagelsmann said, "Every prize has its own value, whether it's voted for by the fans or journalists. They sit down every day to critique the football world. I'm delighted to win, but the recognition is all the more reason to work even harder. It shows we're on the right path."

After being selected as Bundesliga’ best coach for the 2016/2017 season, Nagelsmann became the youngest coach in their history to win this trophy. He managed to win this trophy over Freiburg’s manager Christian Streich and RB Leipzig’s coach Ralph Hasenhuttl.

Nagelsmann was able to make Hoffenheim place fourth in the league this past season, standing just two points below Borussia Dortmund who came in third.
