Darmian wants to stay at Manchester United

CAIRO - 24 July 2017: Matteo Darmain, Manchester United defender, revealed on Sunday his desire to stay at Manchester United.

“I am happy here. I think these kinds of rumors [are] a part of our work, I am a Manchester United player, that's it,” Darmian told Press Association Sport.

When asked about what position he prefers on the pitch, he explained “I always say the position doesn't matter to me, If I have to play left or right, I work hard to be ready when the manager gives me an opportunity and that's it. I try to do my best every time, every game. I try to work hard during the week and that's my philosophy.''

Darmian also talked about Romelu Lukaku signing for Manchester United, noting “We know Lukaku very well, he scores goals and for us I think he is very important.”

The 27-year-old joined Manchester United from Torino in 2015.
