CAIRO – 22 July2017: The Egyptian national hockey team came in eighth place on July 22 after losing to France in the Hockey World Cup held in South Africa.

France managed to beat the Egyptian team with a 3-0 score in the deciding match of the seventh and eighth place.

Egypt previously lost to New Zealand 2-0 on July 21 and also lost in the quarter-finals against Australia with a 4-0 score.

The Egyptian hockey team’s squad is as follows: Ahmed Ezz, Amr Said, Ahmed Abdel Hakim, Amr Ibrahim, Mahmoud Abo Taleb, Karim Atef, Mostafa, Mansour, Mohamed Saber, Mohamed Gad, Mohamed Rageb, Ahmed Gamal, Ashraf Saied, Ahmed Mohsen, Mohamed Nasser, Wael Nour El Din, Ahmed El Ganiany, Hossam Gabran and Ahmed Adel.
