CAIRO – 19 July 2017: Michael Owen, Liverpool’s legendary striker, talked about the qualities of Liverpool’s winger Mohamed Salah on July 19.

Owen spoke to Mirror Football about the signing of the Egyptian international with Liverpool along with what Salah will add to the squad.

"I think Salah is a really good signing, he didn't quite nail it at Chelsea, but he was young at the time," Owen told Mirror Football.

"He's gone away, he had a good time at Roma, he's got outstanding pace and if you're an attacking player with loads of pace then you're valuable,” Owen added.

"I think Liverpool are now looking like a team with a real potent attack. They needed to bolster the squad for the Champions League football, a higher standard of games, so I think it's important that they did that,” Liverpool’s veteran striker concluded.

Salah, who recently joined Liverpool, played 43 matches with Roma last season, managing to score 19 goals and make 12 assists.
