Zaccardo is searching for a club after ending his contract with Vicenza – www.cristianzaccardo.it

CAIRO - 19 July 2017: What a fate!...Cristian Zaccardo, Italian defender who won the 2006 FIFA World Cup with the Italian national team, is searching for a club to play for through a LinkedIn ad.

“I'm currently an unattached footballer. I'm still good physically; I could play two more years at high levels. Whoever takes me will get a great deal,” Zaccardo wrote on LinkedIn.

Zaccardo, 35 years old, added, “I’ve cancelled the contract that tied me to Vicenza until June 2018.”
Vicenza, Zaccardo’s last football club, was relegated to the third division in Italy, so Zaccardo cancelled his contract with them.

Zaccardo had a long journey in Italian football, starting his career with Bologna, where he played four years, before moving to Palermo in 2004, where he had his best time in football.

He went to Germany to play one year for VfL Wolfsburg, where he won the Germany League title, before returning to Italy to play for Parma, Milan and Carpi before his last spell with Vicenza.

Zaccardo started the first two matches in Italy’s campaign to win the World Cup against Ghana and USA. He also played as a substitute when Italy won 3-0 over Ukraine in the quarter finals.
