CAIRO - 8 April 2023: Zamalek have reached an agreement with the Colombian coach, Juan Carlos Osorio, to be their new head coach, according to reports.

Egyptian news website, Misr Times, confirmed that the Colombian coach has accepted Zamalek's offer and he will arrive in Cairo in the coming hours to start his mission with the White Knights.

Osario is one of the top latin managers, having led some of the top clubs in South America like São Paulo of Brazil, Colombia's Atlético Nacional and América de Cali. He also coached Paraguay and Mexico national teams, having led the latter in the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia.

Zamalek won two back-to-back Egyptian League titles in 2021 and 2022 but they have been suffering this season and they sacked their historic Portuguese manager Jesualdo Ferreira after a string of poor results.

Zamalek fans hope that the new coach gets the team together to improve their situation in the league as Zamalek are 7th in the table.
