CAIRO – 16 July2017: Manchester United has formed a squad comprised of such highly paid players that it has become the most expensive team in the world. The latest addition to the team was Belgian star Romelu Lukaku, former Everton player, who signed a five-year contract with Manchester United, completing the team's roster of highly paid football stars.

According to the team’s official FIFA website, Manchester United could potentially break the €500 million ($573.37 million) mark after adding Romelu Lukaku to their ranks, whose current market value is approximately €85 million on his own, making him the world's fifth most valuable player in the history of the sport.

The official website also added that the overall estimated value of the team Manchester United is putting together (which will exceed €500 million) includes the values of David de Gea, Eric Bailly, Victor Lindelöf, Marcos Rojo, Luke Shaw, Ander Herrera, Paul Pogba, Juan Mata, Henrikh Mikhitaryan, Romelu Lukaku and Anthony Martial.

At this moment in time, if we were to calculate the total market value of all of those aforementioned players, it would reach an astounding €523 million, breaking the world record for the football team with the highest market value with all its players combined.
