CAIRO, 3 July 2022: In the first comment after the renewal, the Egyptian star, Mohamed Salah, expressed his great happiness in renewing his contract with his club, Liverpool, after the Reds announced on Friday, the renewal of the pharaoh’s contract, which ends next June 2023.

Liverpool Football Club issued an official statement saying, "Liverpool Football Club is pleased to announce that Mohamed Salah has signed a new long-term contract with the club."

“The renewal is a great feeling and I am excited to win titles with the club,” Mohamed Salah said in statements to the official Liverpool website. “It is a happy day for everyone.”

Salah added, "I think the renewal takes some time, but now everything is done, so we just need to focus on what's next."

Salah continued, "I think you can see in the past five or six years the team has always been going up.  Last season, we were close to winning four titles, but unfortunately in the last week of the season we lost two titles."

Salah added, "I think we are in a good position to fight for everything, we have new signings too, we just need to keep working hard, have a good vision, be positive and go to everything again."

The Egyptian player has presented an outstanding performance for Jurgen Klopp's side since joining from Roma in 2017, scoring 156 goals and 63 assists in 254 games which is absolutely exceptional.
