CAIRO –14 July 2017: The U16 basketball national team faces Rwanda on Friday in the second round of the African championship held in Mauritius from July 12 to 22.

The national team beat Madagascar 117-63 in the first round, Egypt plays alongside Algeria, Rwanda and Madagascar in group B, while the first group included Tunisia, Mozambique and Mauritius.

All the teams play home and away, the first and second places from each group qualify to the semi-finals.

The Egyptian delegation is headed by Fady Hany as the head coach of the team which consists of 12 players: Mohamed Ahmed Desouki, Omar Tarek Samir, Morsi Ali Abdel Rahman, Ziad Ahmed Saqr, Youssef Osama El Madawy, Ahmed Assem Raafat, Mahmoud Hassan Nour El Din, Youssef Mahmoud Amin, Mohammed Ahmed Tobgy, Mo'men Mohamed Musa, Yassin Mohammed Nabil, Mazen Mohammed Saeed, according to Super Kora.
