Basketball: Egypt faces Senegal in World Cup qualifiers

CAIRO - 1 July 2022: Egypt men's basketball team takes on Senegal in a tough match in Matchday 4 of Group D of the 2023 FIBA Basketball World Cup qualifiers. 

 

Borg El Arab hall in Alexandria hosts the final part of the second round of the qualifiers. 

 

Egypt plays in Group D alongside Senegal, Kenya and DR Congo. 

 

The first part of the second round was played last February in Dakar, Senegal and the Pharaohs managed to win two matches out of three, collecting five points. 

 

Egypt's only loss in the first part came against Senegal in Matchday 1 but the Pharaohs bounced back with two wins and they are sharing the top of the group with Senegal and DR Congo, five points each.

 

The Pharaohs will face Senegal on Friday night before facing Kenya and DR Congo on Saturday and Sunday respectively. 

 

The top three teams of the group will advance to the final round of the qualifiers.
