CAIRO, 22 May 2022: Zamalek football club will play against Aswan at 09:00 PM on Monday, in the semi-finals of the Egypt Cup for the last season 2020/2021 at Arab Contractors stadium.
The technical staff of Zamalek, led by Portuguese coach Giusvaldo Ferreira, to exclude some players from this match after the last two defeats in the Egyptian league.
Ferreira wants to rest some players until they regain their level and focus, led by Youssef Obama, Mohamed Abdel Ghani and Omar Al-Saeed. In addition, to rely on young players for Egypt’s Cup matches in preparation for pushing them in the league matches.
The Portuguese coach, Ferreira, spoke with the players, warning them of the surprises of the cup championship, and underestimating the opponent, stressing the need to focus from the beginning of the match.
Zamalek continued its series of negative results in the recent period, and was defeated by Tala’a El-Jaish 0-1 & by Enppi 0-2.
Zamalek is at the top of the league table with 41 points after playing 19 games, winning 13, drawing two and losing four. Scoring 32 goals and conceded 19.
